Baseball Recap: University Trojans vs. Laguna Beach Breakers
University extended their losing streak to seven on Wednesday, dropping them down to 6-14. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Laguna Beach Breakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.
Vince Maxim was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits.
