Soccer Recap: Milpitas' Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Milpitas and Gonzales squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Milpitas had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gonzales Spartans. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Trojans couldn't quite close it out.

Milpitas' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for Gonzales, they pushed their record up to 20-3-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Milpitas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gonzales, they will square off against Roseland University Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roseland University Prep will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Gonzales surely won't give up without a fight.
