Volleyball Game Preview: Buena Vista Demons vs. La Veta Redhawks

The Buena Vista Demons are taking a road trip to face off against the La Veta Redhawks at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Buena Vista will be strutting in after a victory while La Veta will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Buena Vista got the win against Custer County by a conclusive 3-0. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Buena Vista didn't let Custer County take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 30-28, 30-28.

Meanwhile, La Veta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Salida, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-11.

Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for La Veta, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Buena Vista beat La Veta 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
