Basketball Recap: Lucy Beckham Gets the Win

Lucy Beckham won against Wando last Saturday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Lucy Beckham Bengals pulled ahead with a 67-66 photo finish over the Stratford Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-49 back in January.

Stratford's loss came despite strong showings from Landon Simmons and Zanquel Baldwin. Simmons posted 13 points, while Baldwin had 12 points. The dominant performance gave Simmons a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Herman Smith, who put up nine points.

Lucy Beckham now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Stratford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Lucy Beckham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-36 defeat against Goose Creek on the 7th. As for Stratford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-37 loss against Cane Bay on the 6th.
