Basketball Recap: Tiverton Tigers vs. Mt. Hope Huskies
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tiverton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-34 victory over the Mt. Hope Huskies. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Tiverton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenna Del Deo, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jah'Niece Branch, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards.
Despite the defeat, Mt. Hope saw an underclassman step up: freshman Catherine Frawley posted 11 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Frawley has posted since back in January. Lilly DaSilveira was another key player, putting up five points and nine boards.
