Soccer Recap: Thursday's Win Is Clayton's 12th in Last 13 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Clayton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the New Bern Bears. Clayton wouldn't have won without Chris Serrano, who scored the game-winner.

Clayton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3-1 record this season. As for New Bern, they dropped their record down to 17-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Clayton didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Heritage on the 10th. New Bern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
