Volleyball Recap: Piute Takes a Loss

Piute extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-7. They lost 3-0 to the Beaver Beavers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Beaver, they now have a winning record of 3-2. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Beaver got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ainsley Brown out in front who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces Brown has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Hafen, who had 11 digs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piute will host Gunnison Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beaver, they will challenge South Sevier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
