Volleyball Recap: Vinton-Shellsburg Comes Up Short

Vinton-Shellsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Charles City Comets.

Vinton-Shellsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Charles City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Vinton-Shellsburg and Charles City will both be playing Independence the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Comets will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
