Basketball Game Preview: Leslie Blackhawks vs. Michigan Center Cardinals

The Leslie Blackhawks will venture away from home to face off against the Michigan Center Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Leslie will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Leslie humbled Napoleon with a 55-24 victory. The Blackhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Michigan Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They took down Bath 44-30 on Monday. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Fighting Bees are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leslie's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for Michigan Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Leslie came up short against Michigan Center in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 62-49. Can Leslie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
