It was a good run, but Collinsville unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Mountain Brook Spartans. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 12-2-1. As for Mountain Brook, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collinsville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Whitesburg Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st. Mountain Brook will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Spain Park at 7:30 p.m. on April 1st.
