Football Recap: West Warriors vs. Cypress Centurions
West's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 33-28 W over the Cypress Centurions. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Golia, who threw for 237 yards and four TDs. What's more, Golia racked up 124.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Blake Ely also helped with two scores in total.
West didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Cypress to a completion percentage of just 44.4%. The Warriors weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 62.5%.

The win got West back to even at 2-2. As for Cypress, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will face off against South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. After each having a week off, Cypress and Tustin will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. The matchup will give the Centurions their first taste of in-conference action this season.
