Recap: Alchesay Falcons vs. Monument Valley Mustangs
The Alchesay Falcons pushed their score all the way to 56 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 71-56 to Monument Valley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (55), Alchesay still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, Alchesay had strong showings from Chauncey Newhall, who scored 22 points along with three steals, and Brent Aday, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aday has scored all season. Frankie Lee was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Alchesay's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-13. As for Monument Valley, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.
Alchesay will head out on the road to face off against Chinle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monument Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Window Rock at 6:00 p.m.
