Basketball Game Preview: Barlow Bruins vs. Tualatin Timberwolves

The Barlow Bruins will venture away from home to square off against the Tualatin Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Barlow's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Barlow beat Jesuit 62-58. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Crusaders are ranked 33rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tualatin got the win against St. Francis on Saturday by a conclusive 68-43. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Tualatin is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Barlow, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Barlow didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tualatin when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 93-87 victory. Will Barlow repeat their success, or does Tualatin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
