Scotland had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lee County Yellow Jackets with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Fighting Scots have won four games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Marissa Smith was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Addison Lewis also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Scotland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lee County struck out nine times.

Scotland's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Lee County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Scotland will challenge Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lee County, they will welcome Southern Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Southern Lee has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something Lee County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
