Soccer Recap: Ray Wins Going Away Against Edinburg

Ray's tournament run continued when they took on Edinburg on Saturday. Everything went the Ray Texans' way against the Edinburg Bobcats as the Ray Texans made off with a 5-1 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Ray hit Edinburg with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mcneill Veazey (2), Alejandra Wilde, Zoe Trevino, and Claire Smith.

Ray is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Edinburg, they now have a losing record at 1-2-1.

The future could be bright for both Ray and Edinburg: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Ray will try to hand Miller their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Edinburg will look to extend Varsity Opponent's three-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
