Volleyball Recap: Curtis Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Lake Stevens

Curtis faced Lake Stevens in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Curtis lost 3-0 to Lake Stevens. The loss was Curtis' first of the season.

Curtis was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.

Lake Stevens found their leader in sophomore Audrey Iseminger, who had 20 digs and two aces. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Iseminger. Katya Vladyko also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Curtis fell to 7-1. As for Lake Stevens, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Curtis has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sumner on the 30th. As for Lake Stevens, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lynnwood on the 30th.
