Softball Recap: McDowell Comes Up Short

McDowell fell victim to Alexander Central and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Cougars. The match marked the first time this season in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

McDowell's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7. As for Alexander Central, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDowell will square off against R-S Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hilltoppers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Alexander Central, they will take on Hibriten at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
