Volleyball Recap: Fort Calhoun Takes a Loss

Fort Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Syracuse Rockets. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 2, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Syracuse scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23.

Fort Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Syracuse, their victory bumped their record up to 13-14.

Fort Calhoun didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the 20th. As for Syracuse, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Wahoo on the 20th.
