The Oak Glen Golden Bears will square off against the Philip Barbour Colts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Oak Glen comes in on seven and Philip Barbour on eight.

Oak Glen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over James Monroe.

Meanwhile, Philip Barbour faced Wheeling Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Colts came out on top against the Maroon Knights by a score of 3-1.

Oak Glen better keep an eye on Izzy Knotts. She was instrumental in Philip Barbour's win, getting 34 digs. Those 34 digs gave Knotts a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Finley Carpenter, who had 26 digs and two aces.

Oak Glen's victory bumped their record up to 27-10-3. As for Philip Barbour, their win bumped their record up to 44-11-2.

Oak Glen skirted past Philip Barbour 2-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Bears since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
