Softball Recap: River Bluff Comes Up Short

If River Bluff was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of South Aiken last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gators came up short against the White Knoll Timberwolves on Friday, falling 15-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Timberwolves: they've now lost four in a row.

River Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for White Knoll, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. River Bluff is set to face off against their familiar foe Irmo at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, White Knoll will square off against rival Dutch Fork at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
