Soccer Recap: Milford Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Milford and Cape Henlopen have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Buccaneers came up short against the Vikings, falling 9-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Milford of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Milford dropped their record down to 3-11-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Cape Henlopen, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Coming up, Milford will head out to face off against Newark Charter School at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cape Henlopen, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Seaford at 6:30 p.m.
