Hodgdon entered their tilt with Southern Aroostook on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 6-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on May 1st.

Michael Fitzpatrick made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hodgdon is 5-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Fitzpatrick was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last five times he's played.

In other batting news, Daniel Henderson was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Hunter Duttweiler was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Hodgdon pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Southern Aroostook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hodgdon will venture away from home to face off against Ashland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.29 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southern Aroostook, they will head out on the road to square off against Katahdin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
