Baseball Recap: Castle Rock Find Success

Castle Rock won the last time they faced Toutle Lake and things went their way on Monday too. The Rockets came out on top against the Fighting Ducks by a score of 5-1.

Jerry Neighbors spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Castle Rock is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tristan Honey was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Luke Farland, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Castle Rock's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Toutle Lake, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 14-4 record.

Looking ahead, Castle Rock will head out to take on Stevenson at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Toutle Lake, they will welcome Naselle at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
