Basketball Recap: Cuyahoga Heights Takes a Loss

Cuyahoga Heights lost against Beachwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves took a 22-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beachwood Bison. The Red Wolves' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Beachwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marley Readance, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Readance has posted since back in January of 2024. Goldi Aschkenasy was another key player, putting up six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Cuyahoga Heights' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Beachwood, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Cuyahoga Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 30-26 defeat against Lutheran West on the 11th. As for Beachwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-40 victory against Fairview on the 10th.
