It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kamiakin had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Mead Panthers 11-1. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.
Lizzie O'Leary made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. O'Leary was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Analise Thomasson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brookelyn Cole, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Kamiakin is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.
