Volleyball Game Preview: McAdory Yellowjackets vs. Sumiton Christian Eagles

The McAdory Yellowjackets will take on the Sumiton Christian Eagles in a tournament on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, McAdory came up short against Helena and fell 2-0.

McAdory may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 17 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Sumiton Christian came up short against Berry on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Sumiton Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Berry work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-8, 26-24, 25-21.

McAdory's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Sumiton Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.

McAdory was able to grind out a solid victory over Sumiton Christian in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
