MaxPreps takes a look back at the high school careers of this year's Heisman Trophy candidates.

Montee Ball

School: Timberland (Wentzville, Mo.)
Stats on MaxPreps
Honors: Two-time first-team All-State player, Class 5A State Player of the Year.
Stats: 995 carries, 8,222 yards and 107 touchdowns in four varsity years.


Trent Richardson
School: Escambia (Pensacola, Fla.)
Stats on MaxPreps
Honors: Florida's Mr. Football, Parade All-American, Tom Lemming first-team All-American.
Stats: 3,580 yards and 41 touchdowns in two varsity seasons.


Andrew Luck
School: Stratford (Houston)
Honors: Second-team 5A All-State, District 19-5A MVP.
Stats: 488 of 824 passes for 7,139 yards, 53 touchdowns in three varsity seasons.


Robert Griffin III
School: Copperas Cove (Texas)
Honors: All-District 16-4A.
Stats: 2,171 rushing yards, 32 touchdowns, 3,357 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns in two varsity years.





Tyrann Mathieu
School: St. Augustine (New Orleans)
Honors: Baton Rouge Advocate Super Dozen, Times Picayune 2010 Blue-Chip List.
Stats: 32 tackles, five interceptions, one sack as a senior.
