Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Wayne Eagles

The Bloomfield Bombers will face off against the Wayne Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloomfield has three straight victories, Wayne has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Bloomfield beat Mynderse Academy 47-40. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 401st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Wayne lost 50-27 to Waterloo on Monday.

Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Bloomfield against Wayne in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 74-32 victory. Will Bloomfield repeat their success, or does Wayne have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
