Basketball Recap: Fort Mill's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Fort Mill came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Nation Ford Falcons by a score of 45-35. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-44 back in January.

Fort Mill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colbie Wolf out in front who on her way to 14 points. Zoe Williams was another key player, putting up five points in addition to 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Fort Mill's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points over those games. As for Nation Ford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.

Fort Mill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 39-35 defeat against Greenville on the 21st. As for Nation Ford, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-38 victory against Eastside on the 17th.
