Basketball Recap: Western Alamance Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Western Alamance and Southern Lee squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Western Alamance had to settle for second. They fell 53-45 to the Southern Lee Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 83rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Western Alamance and nudges their season record down to 13-12. As for Southern Lee, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Western Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Lee, they will challenge Fike on Friday.
