Mount Michael Benedictine had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Tekamah-Herman on Tuesday. The Knights put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 14-7 win.

Ethan Siegmund looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Mount Michael Benedictine's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 8-9 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, Jackson Teetor was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Barett Sykora, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Mount Michael Benedictine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Gross Catholic hadn't done well against Elkhorn recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cougars walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Antlers.
Griff Pechar and Maddux Villamonte did most of the damage at the plate: Pechar went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Villamonte went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Cael Biggs-Berger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Mount Michael Benedictine pushed their record up to 10-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Gross Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
