Basketball Recap: Ellis Takes a Loss

Ellis lost against Hoxie back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Ellis Railroaders fell just short of the Hoxie Indians by a score of 63-60. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellis' record is now 8-11. As for Hoxie, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Coming up, Ellis will challenge Plainville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plainville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Ellis likes a good challenge. As for Hoxie, they will take on Phillipsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoxie is facing Phillipsburg at the right time seeing as Phillipsburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
