Basketball Recap: Miami Comes Up Short

Miami lost against Booker on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Miami Warriors fell to the Booker Kiowas 28-24.

Booker can attribute much of their success to Kyleigh Harrison, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Harrison a new career-high. Maria Perez was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Miami's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Booker, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami will venture away from home to square off against Follett at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Booker, they will head out on the road to challenge Kelton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
