Football Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

After soaring to 72 points the game before, Chapel Hill was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a hard 21-7 fall against Kilgore. While losing is never fun, Chapel Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Kilgore is ranked 31st).

Chapel Hill dropped their record down to 4-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Kilgore, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Chapel Hill will be playing at home against Mabank at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kilgore, they will head out on the road to square off against Lindale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
