Basketball Game Preview: Milford Eagles vs. Pierce Bluejays

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles duke it out with the Bluejays at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Milford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully Pierce likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Milford got the win against Broken Bow by a conclusive 73-53. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pierce came up short against Arlington on Thursday and fell 62-49.

Milford pushed their record up to 22-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Pierce, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8.
