Soccer Recap: Texas Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Texas was not quite Nacogdoches's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They came up short against the Nacogdoches Dragons, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Dragons are ranked 65th).

Texas has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 0-7-3 record this season. As for Nacogdoches, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Texas duke it out with the Tyler at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Nacogdoches, they will take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
