Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way Central Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Brother Rice

Lincoln-Way Central faced Brother Rice in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost three in a row.

Brother Rice can attribute much of their success to Ryne Collins, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Collins has posted since back in April.

Lincoln-Way Central's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Brother Rice, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Lincoln-Way Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Glenbrook South on the 3rd. As for Brother Rice, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Lincoln-Way East on the 3rd.
