Football Recap: Rockwood Skates Past Midway with Ease

Rockwood barely beat Midway the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers really took it to the Green Wave for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-15 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Green Wave recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Jayden Davidson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 208 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries, while also picking up 58 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Another back making a difference was Adrian Darby, who rushed for 147 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rockwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 393 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Rockwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Korbin Ledford and Davidson. Davidson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory got Rockwood back to even at 2-2. As for Midway, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Rockwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-12 win against Harriman on the 19th. As for Midway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 63-7 loss against Coalfield on the 19th.
