Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Bishop Mcdevitt's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Bishop McDevitt unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Middletown Blue Raiders, falling 3-0. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Raiders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Bishop McDevitt was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Middletown's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-20.

Bishop McDevitt's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Middletown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bishop McDevitt will face off against rival Boiling Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Middletown is set to challenge their familiar foe Central Dauphin East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
