4A Conference 15 recap November 5, 2013

Eric Carter of Jack Britt ran for the longest rushing play in 4A Conference 15 this season against Cape Fear last week. Carter ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 227 on the day as his team bested the Colts.

Jack Britt added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cape Fear, 41-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the Brian Rimpf's team.

The Buccaneers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Harrison Strother threw for 58 yards and Edmond Grant had 36 yards receiving. On the ground Carter contributed 227 yards. Mj McCall helped Jack Britt's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 18 yards.

Carter was a passing and rushing force as the Buccaneers beat the Colts.

E.E. Smith's Harold Herbin and Shawn Barnes have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Herbin has thrown for 2,323 yards this season, while Barnes has 33 catches for 743 yards. The Buccaneers' Carter leads the league in rushing yards with 1,752.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Golden Bulls' Barnes goes up against Seventy-First's Carlos Lawrence.

Next week's game between E.E. Smith and the Falcons will feature an aerial matchup as Herbin tests his arm against Lawrence's defensive ability.

An important game coming up in 4A Conference 15 this week will be when South View takes on the Colts. The Tigers are in second place, while Cape Fear is in fourth place.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when South View takes on the Colts. Randy Ledford's team has allowed 196 points this season, while Cape Fear has given up 181.
