Basketball Game Preview: Marana Tigers vs. Cibola Raiders

The Marana Tigers will challenge the Cibola Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marana knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Cibola likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Marana took on Cienega on Tuesday. Marana took an 82-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cienega. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Cibola waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 68-41 win over the Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Raiders have posted since December 5, 2024.

Cibola pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Marana, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
