Baseball Game Preview: Silas Rams vs. North Thurston Rams

Silas will head out to take on North Thurston at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Silas' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Mount Tahoma with a sharp 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Max Yoder made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Yoder was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Christian Peterson was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Landon Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Silas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, North Thurston entered their tilt with Lakes on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Lancers 11-1.

Silas' record is now 11-3. As for North Thurston, their record now sits at 11-5-1.

Silas suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to North Thurston when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can Silas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
