Recap: Carter-Riverside Eagles vs. North Side Steers
The Carter-Riverside Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 11th straight loss. They lost to North Side on the road by a decisive 52-33 margin. Carter-Riverside lost against North Side in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-35 score last time.
Despite the loss, Carter-Riverside still got an impressive performance from Robert Rodriguez, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Rodriguez scored a full 54.5% of Carter-Riverside's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Davon Carey, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Carter-Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for North Side, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carter-Riverside and Trimble Tech will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Trimble Tech has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17. North Side will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lake Worth at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th. Lake Worth is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
