Merrimack took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Goffstown, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tomahawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tomahawks have posted since October 31, 2024.

The win snapped Merrimack's losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 4-10 record. As for Goffstown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Merrimack will challenge rival Nashua North at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Goffstown is set to square off against their familiar foe Alvirne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
