Recap: Calvary Christian Warriors vs. Canterbury Crusaders
The Calvary Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Canterbury 79-22 on the road. That looming 79-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Calvary Christian yet this season.
Ace Taylor was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with five steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Sabec, who scored seven points along with five assists and two steals.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Calvary Christian, bringing their record for this year to 8-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Canterbury, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will take on Gibbs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gibbs presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Calvary Christian in Florida (Gibbs is ranked 41st, while Calvary Christian is ranked 231st). As for Canterbury, they will be playing at home against Brandon Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
