Recap: Minco Bulldogs vs. Casady Cyclones
The Minco Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Casady and snuck past 30-28. That's another feather in the cap for Minco, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Minco can attribute much of their success to Jake Carruth, who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Ben Burchfield was another key contributor, picking up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Minco's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points per game. As for Casady, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
Minco will look to defend their home field on Friday against Elmore City-Pernell at 7:00 p.m. Elmore City-Pernell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Minco is ranked 64th). Casady does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
