Basketball Recap: Jaliyah Feliciano's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pine Ridge over Jones

Pine Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 56-32 to the Jones Fightin' Tigers. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-9.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaliyah Feliciano, who posted 17 points and five steals. Feliciano is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Serenity Cressor, who had four points in addition to 11 boards and three blocks.

Pine Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Jones, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Ridge will head out to square off against University at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jones, they are taking a road trip to take on Cornerstone Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
