Soccer Game Preview: Taft vs. Leyden

Taft will square off against Leyden at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Taft turned things around against Hancock on Monday. They never let Hancock get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Meanwhile, Leyden got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. Everything went their way against Proviso East as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Makayla Hernandez and Christal Diego scored all three of Leyden's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Leyden, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
