Baseball Game Preview: Corning Cardinals vs. Live Oak Lions

For the second straight game, Corning will face off against Live Oak. The Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Corning's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Corning challenged Live Oak on Tuesday. The Cardinals lost 7-1 to the Lions.

For Live Oak's part, their win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Perigo, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Perigo has become a key player for the Lions: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Another was Kaden Lee, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Corning's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Live Oak, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10.
