Softball Game Preview: Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs vs. Normal University Pioneers

The Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Normal University Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mahomet-Seymour is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Monday, Mahomet-Seymour didn't have quite enough to beat Centennial and fell 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly two runs.

Madi White was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Normal University didn't have quite enough to beat Normal West on Monday and fell 3-2.

Normal University saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meera Sundaram, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Mahomet-Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Normal University, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
